24Bottles and the University of Rome Tor Vergata: find out more on the project “Goccia” Goal One for Climate Change
The University of Rome Tor Vergata chose 24Bottles for the project “Goccia” Goal One – to promote Climate Change awareness to reduce the use of plastic bottled water throughout the campus.
14.000 plastic bottles saved!
The overall idea revolves around a few, simple steps that allowed the University of Rome Tor Vergata to cut already 14 thousand plastic bottles in only two weeks since the project started.
We at 24Bottles are proud to have helped them achieve this remarkable goal with our carbon neutral reusable water bottles.
The Project Work “Goccia” came about thanks to two students of the MARIS Master at University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Vincenzo Ludovici Pietropaoli and Marco Uttaro created “Goccia” by taking up a best practice of the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS) for the reduction of plastic in Italian universities.
The two students integrated the best practices with analytical chemistry analysis in the new Laboratory of the Department of Chemical Sciences and Technologies, called “LabCap“, ISO 9001 Certificate which will guarantee university users the high quality of the water supplied by the installed water fountains and chillers.
Moreover, the water will be periodically subjected to laboratory analysis by LabCap whose results will be published on the website.
