Milan Design Week 2019

24Bottles’ founders, Giovanni Randazzo and Matteo Melotti, along with the young Italian designer Elena Salmistraro, appropriately chose to launch the new collection during the Milan Design Week 2019, with an exciting event.

Every year, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and Fuorisalone define the Milan Design Week, the world’s most important design fair.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano was launched in 1961, with the original focus being Italian furniture, and has become the global event in the design industry calendar.

The trade show grew in size over the years, encompassing now all design areas, from objects to fashion, and – of course – sustainability.
Fuorisalone is the set of events distributed in different areas of Milan during the days when the Salone is staged, which has taken over the entire city through the years.

Holy Green: the event

The 24Bottles + Elena Salmistraro Collection tells two different stories, forming the background to two major and interconnected subjects: altruism and the protection of women.
But also, the graphics mark the bond between humans and nature, that’s why we named our event Holy Green.
We wanted to celebrate this deep connection by inviting our guests to a new world: a place where people can still feel their link to nature and humanity.

Can sustainable design be entertaining?

Yes, of course!

Our Holy Green event had everything a guest could ask for the occasion: some nice, energetic music, lively and friendly people, aesthetically pleasing art installations to be captured on camera, sustainable cocktails with personalized Party Cups by 24Bottles, customized organic-cotton bags, freehand engravings by the artist-engraver Simone Cervellati, and even an Instagram-worthy photobooth with Elena Salmistraro’s full-scale graphics!

This is our challenge.

Most people think that they don’t have time to go sustainable, but let’s face it: if we can offer them the chance to change, to find a new path, new habits, with fun and style, the transformation to a greener life will be easier and…entertaining!
