It may be said that 24Bottles has been designed to become a B Corporation, as stated by Giovanni Randazzo and Matteo Melotti, the company’s founders:

The mission they shared since the beginning, led them to inspire a huge community throughout the world by simply adopting a new, sustainable lifestyle:

24Bottles® is the Italian design brand born in 2013 with the aim of reducing the impact of disposable plastic bottles on the planet and our lives.
The idea of our company comes from the search for the most convenient and functional solution to meet the need to hydrate in a way healthy, elegant and ecological day by day.
The concept is to create useful and functional objects that make the world a more pleasant and less polluted place. At 24Bottles® we believe that good design can change things for the better and can help people improve their health and quality of life as well as their look, in an environmentally friendly way.
Our focus is to combine form and function in order to offer uniquely lightweight collections of bottles, coordinated accessories and smart solutions, so as to foster a more sustainable and comfortable lifestyle, while keeping personal style in check.

We are a certified B Corporation, we envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good, and we strive everyday to reduce our impact on the environment.
24Bottles® has also embarked on an ambitious program to achieve Carbon Neutrality, with the aim of eliminating its carbon footprint.

Our mission statement is focused on:

widespread diffusion and promotion of an ethic and aesthetic sensibility about the environment, encouraging virtuous behavior for the biosphere balance;

providing a wide range of carefully designed, high-quality, easy-to-carry, sustainable stainless-steel bottles for daily hydration on the go in order to reduce plastic usage;

reducing and balancing out CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.

A new sensibility

In 2019 we have launched several projects to promote a more virtuous lifestyle and a better awareness about the environment.

The biggest one of them has been the official partnership with X-Factor 2019, a very popular talent-show broadcasted by Sky. The organizers decided to pursue solutions to ban single-use plastic from the show: we immediately decided to cooperate and support Sky and Fremantle – the TV show production brand – in providing a Clima Bottle to all the contenders and the crew members. This solution has helped to reduce the overall environmental impact of the TV show.

The Firenze Rocks was the biggest music festival of the year, and we partnered with Live Nation to make it more sustainable.

More than a thousand between cast and crew members received an Urban Bottle to avoid single-use plastic bottles in the backstage and stage areas. Meanwhile, we invited the public to collect the plastic and get it appropriately recycled. For every bag full of plastic correctly returned, we gave a gift and a discount code to buy a 24Bottles. In addition to that, a popular YouTuber roamed through the crowd asking questions about plastic pollution, raising awareness on the matter and distributing gifts by 24Bottles.

Second goal:
Reduction of plastic usage

Our challenge

providing a wide range of carefully designed, high-quality, easy-to-carry, sustainable stainless-steel bottles for daily hydration on the go in order to reduce plastic usage.

Our commitment

Large international companies have already chosen 24Bottles as partners to help them achieving sustainability goals with a creative twist.

OTB is an international fashion group, the parent company of many iconic brands:

State-of-the-art companies such as Staff International and Brave Kid are also part of the group.

Remove Plastic from Water by Removing Water from Plastic is the message of the awareness campaign that involves all the OTB Italian companies for a total of 2,500 employees, and that in the coming months will be extended to the group’s foreign branches to reach a total of over 6,500 people.

With this move, OTB can now save more than 124.000 single-use plastic bottles per year.

Sergio Rossi is an Italian company that has become a primary referen- ce in the luxury sector.

In 2019, the Italian company decided to provide his 305 employees with a customized edition of Urban Bottle. Filling their reusable bottles at water fountains instead of buying disposable plastic ones is a significant step for all eco-conscious companies.

Given the 305 employees at Sergio Rossi, we estimated an average consumption per day of one single-use plastic bottle. It means 76.250 single-use plastic bottles will be spared every year at Sergio Rossi’s headquarter. Choosing Urban Bottle will allow Sergio Rossi to avoid releasing 6100 kg CO2 eq into the atmosphere.

Third goal:
Reduction of CO2 emissions

Our challenge

we perfectly know that global challenges require global solutions. But we can ease them up, starting from us!

Our commitment

we do want to make our part in preserving the planet and its future.

We ensure a Zero Carbon Footprint to our products, because we track the CO2 emission caused by the production and the transportation of our products and we fully off-set them, planting an appropriate number of new trees every year. We cooperate with certified B Corp Treedom: until now, we have planted 4500 trees in different countries: a big, diffused forest called Oxygen, because it offsets the CO2 emission of all our products.

We put a magic number on our reusable bottles: – 0,08. This is the total amount of CO2 grams saved every time we use them instead of a single-use plastic alternative!

2020 forecast and targets

As a sustainable company in Italy, with stores in more than 60 countries all over the world, we have a significant opportunity to drive change and work to truly help people go green with a simple act: start with a bottle.
The 2020 Covid-19 emergency’s impact on society will surely present us with new and unforeseen challenges. Being a B Corp is now even more essential to play a positive and decisive role and guide our communities to the change we envisioned. The exceptional consequences for economic activities may affect some forecasts. Companies will have a key role in protecting health, safety, and sustainability. We believe that coming together and finding innovative ways to minimize the consequences will be crucial to create a stronger community

The Impact Report, covering 24Bottles’ fiscal year 2019, puts the basis to the steps we’re taking to reach our community and sustainability targets for 2020.
